Ed Tech Day 2014 will be held next Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the Campus Center. Over 55 technology vendors come to campus to showcase their latest technology including 3D printers and present seminars focused on technology issues facing educational institutions. The College Showcase features faculty, staff and students demonstrating how they are using educational technology including Calvin Chestnut, an Ithaca College student, showcasing his work with Google Glass.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend this invite; you don't need to register - just come!

Teaching and Learning with Technology Symposium

The Teaching and Learning with Technology Symposium (TLTS) offers sessions by faculty and staff from regional institutions focused on innovations and best practices in using technology for teaching and learning. Ithaca College presenters include:

  • Mike Buck and Calvin Chestnut, Welcome to Glass (9-9:25 am, Clark Lounge)
  • Calvin Chestnut, Interactive Glassware Development (9:25-9:50 am, Clark Lounge)
  • Dan Williams and Lynn Gitlow, Using Built in Accessibility Features and Apps Available for Tablet Technology to Engage Students in Learning (11:25-11:50, Clark Lounge)
  • Miranda P. Kaye and Laura Kuo, Deepening the Research Process with Mendeley: Student Perceptions, Use, and Motivation (3:35 – 4 pm, Clark Lounge)

Bodhi Rogers will also be doing a seminar on 3D Visualization & Printing in CNS 206 from 12:10-1 pm; and, the Library, ITS and the Park School will be offering facility tours throughout the day.
