Be Recognized for Your Volunteer Work! Apply for the President's Volunteer Service Award!Contributed by Don Austin on 03/25/14 Volunteers are critical to a healthy community. If you're actively engaged in community service - either as an individual or as a member of a student organization - and would like recognition for that commitment, apply for a President's Volunteer Service Award! The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs (OSEMA) would like to encourage individuals and student organizations to acknowledge their dedication by applying for the PVSA this spring! The PVSA is among the highest recognitions for individuals and groups who perform exemplary levels of direct community service on an annual basis. Recipients receive an official certified letter of achievement, a congratulatory letter, and the official PVSA pin from the President of the United States. Students encouraged to contact Don Austin at austin@ithaca.edu for more criteria on how to nominate themselves or a registered student organization on or before Friday, March 28, 2014. All PVSA recipients will be acknowledged at the OSEMA Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 28, in Emerson Suites. |
