Janice Elich Monroe, associate professor and chair of the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, recently presented during Well Being International Week at HAMK University of Applied Sciences in Finland.

Monroe’s workshop was titled “Finding Your Passion: A personal exploration of finding meaning and purpose in your life and work” and was held January 21-22. She taught students from Finland and Kazakhstan.

In addition to the workshop she led, Monroe also attended a presentation on action learning as a creative method, which focused on how to train actors to role play different situations for the purpose of training students. This workshop was led by Johan Broken and Ted Willemsen.
