Mike Haaf (Chemistry Department) co-lead a two day workshop, held at Clark Atlanta University in Georgia from March 7-9, on the intersections between fine art and the chemical sciences.  The workshop, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, included dozens of hands-on experiments designed to illustrate the chemical principles behind the materials used to create art, such as pigments, dyes, binders, and metals.  The workshop was filled to capacity, and was well-received by the attendees.
