The Department of Theatre Arts is offering a special Summer section of Directing I, an intensive introduction to the practice of directing for the stage. Students will learn basic skills and underlying principles through exercises, theatergoing, and directing short rudimentary scenes. Directing I is a prerequisite for Directing II, being offered in Spring 2015. NON THEATRE ARTS-MAJORS WELCOME! Directing I has traditionally been a highly desired course, with enrollment often limited to Theatre Arts majors. For the first time, we will be offering the course as a summer session intensive, an ideal situation for non-majors to access the course! Theatre majors sophomore and up may register at any time. (The earlier the better!) Others should submit an override form to the instructor, Professor Garrett Eisler (geisler@ithaca.edu, 607-274-1236) for permission to enroll.
