This month, no matter HOW  you commute to work: walking, biking, taking the bus, carpooling, working from home, or driving alone to work, by logging your commute using the free Zimride  Commute Calendar function, you can rack up points and be automatically entered in the Zimride Earth Day Sweepstakes. National sweepstake prizes include Kindle Fire HDs and gift cards from Starbucks and Amazon.com, but we are increasing your chances to win by offering a number of individual prizes just for Ithaca College participants. View complete sweepstakes rules. The contest starts on April 1 and runs through April 30, with prizes awarded in early May.

To get started, go to www.zimride.com/ithaca and set up your free Zimride account profile. Once that's done, whenever you log in, you will see the "Commute Calendar" function on the left hand task bar. When you open the Commute Calendar, you simply drag and drop the mode of transportation you used for your commute on any date this month. Each date is also divided into a.m. and p.m. so you can enter multiple commuting modes, if applicable. For example, if you commute to work or school in the morning riding the bus and commute home in the evening walking, you are able to input both modes into one day.

Once a commute has been logged, the user will be entered into the sweepstakes.
Only one entry per user will be allowed. (See Sweepstake Rules).

Check it out! You could win big for just doing what you normally do! But a word to the wise, you do earn more points if you use modes of alternative transportation instead of driving alone to work.
