Deborah Rifkin (Associate Professor, Music Theory) presented "Peter in Motion: Early Animated Adaptations of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf" at the West Coast Conference of Music Theory and Analysis, which was held in Salt Lake City in March. The presentation compared Prokofiev's concert version of the symphonic tale (1936) to the first animated versions of it by Disney (1946) and Soyuzmultfilm (1958).
