Students to re-stage the 1889 Paris World Fair, Tuesday, April 22, in Handwerker Gallery.Contributed by Keri Watson on 04/16/14 Students enrolled in Keri Watson’s ARTH 111: Episodes in Art History will be re-enacting the Exposition Universelle de Paris of 1889 on Tuesday, April 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Handwerker Gallery.
Students are playing characters including Bouguereau, Seurat, Gauguin, Cézanne, Van Gogh, the Impressionists, and many more. Stop by and enjoy refreshments while experiencing "Modernism vs. Traditionalism: Art in Paris, 1888-1889," a Reacting to the Past (RTTP) game. This event is free and open to the public.
