THE LARAMIE PROJECT and THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER! The Greens Theatre Project proudly presents... THE LARAMIE PROJECT and THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER! The Laramie Project cycle is comprised of two theatrical shows that are based off of over 300 real interviews with residents of Laramie, Wyoming after the brutal beating, torture, and murder of Matthew Shepard in 1998, who was targeted because he was gay. The play aims to examine the importance of acceptance and hate crime legislation, the power of love, and the roles that religion, theatre, education, and government have in our society. The Laramie Project will be performed on Thursday, April 24th, at 7pm in Textor 103 and on Saturday, April 26th, at 2pm in Job 161. The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later will be performed on Saturday, April 26th, at 2pm in Job 161. Tickets are $5.00, and all proceeds will be donated to the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
