IC American Marketing Association 2014 national awardsContributed by Scott Erickson on 04/21/14 The Ithaca College chapter of the American Marketing Association (ICAMA) received numerous awards at the 36th Annual Intercollegiate Conference in New Orleans, April 10-12, 2014.
ICAMA received multiple awards recognizing its outstanding performance throughout the 2013/2014 academic year. These awards demonstrate ICAMA continues to rank among the best student chapters in the country. ICAMA received awards for Exemplary Collegiate Chapter Performance in the areas of Outstanding Professional Development (congratulations to Professional Development VP Brittany Valente '14, Marketing Research VP Becca Blondin '14, and Advertising/Graphics VP Grace Erickson '14), Outstanding Chapter Planning (congratulations to co-Presidents Rachel Gropper '14 and Yiwei Zhu '14), and Outstanding Communications (congratulations to Communications VP Stefan DiFiore '14). Recognition in three categories signifies superior chapter performance, indicative of an organization ranking among the top 30 chapters amongst over 130 chapters submitting reports and over 300 active collegiate chapters worldwide. In addition, Membership VP Sarah Wooster '14 was asked to present at a session on "Membership Recruitment and Retention to Grow Your Chapter", to a packed audience of over 125 delegates. Sarah, Hilary Jones '14, and Kevin Turnbull '15 obtained the AMA Collegiate Role-Playing and Relationship Selling Certificate by completing four onsite sales panels/modules. Congratulations to the 2013/2014 executive team and all members who contributed to this year’s outstanding performance. Thanks to those campus organizations providing funding to help with the trip, the School of Business, the Park School of Communications, and the Student Government Association.
