Do you need a career kick-starter? People take jobs for many reasons: they like the organization, the job pays well, they love the type of work….the list goes on and on. However, your performance level can often be tied to whether you enjoy the work that you do every day or you just work the job to earn a paycheck.

Being happy in your career improves quality of life and happiness overall, so follow these tips to finding career happiness and loving what you do:

  • Exercise – besides being good for your mind and body, regular exercise can also increase job satisfaction. Whether it’s a daily walk during lunch, early-morning gym session, or afternoon yoga class, doing a physical activity that you enjoy will improve overall happiness at home and at work.

  • Get enough sleep – for most people, this is 7-8 hours per night. The amount of sleep you get influences your attitude at work, and being well-rested will make for a happier and more productive workday.

  • Find a balance – don’t bring work home regularly, and don’t stress about it when you’re not there
