On Wednesday, April 30, 2:00- 3:30 p.m., the Center for Faculty Excellence will host a workshop addressing challenges and strategies of teaching and communicating with visually impaired students. Student organizations who want to make their activities and communications accessible to visually impaired students are encouraged to attend.

Adapting Teaching and Communications for Visually Impaired Students

WHEN:  Wednesday, April 30. 2014, 2:00- 3:30 p.m.

WHERE:Center for Faculty Excellence, 316 Gannett Center (Library, second floor)

This workshop will address challenges and strategies of teaching and communicating with visually impaired students. Presentations by IC faculty will focus on ways to make all forms of course content accessible (from readings to visual materials, exams and in-class exercises).

A representative from the Office of Student Disabilities will highlight resources available to faculty, student organizations, and staff.

Student Tim Conners will speak about his experiences navigating courses and the campus in his first year at IC.
