Students are signing up for summer orientation now. Check out what they are learning about on the new orientation website!

We are excited to announce that new and transfer students who have paid their deposit are able to sign up for a summer orientation session via the Events Tab on their myIthaca account.

Once completing their reservation, students will be prompted to start preparing for their orientation experience. For example, they need to set-up their HomerConnect and Netpass accounts, take the Quantitative Literacy Readiness and Mathematics exam – in addition to other placement exams, complete required health forms, create a housing profile, look at the ICC website, figure out where to park when they get to campus… Yikes...how are they ever going to keep all of this information organized!

Over the past few months, First-Year Experience has been working closely with a team in MarCom to develop a new content interface for first-year students, their family members, and our campus community. This has been an effective collaboration, resulting in a user friendly, cohesive format that will help our students successfully navigate this monumental transition. 

 Because orientation is truly a campus-wide initiative, the new website allows us to showcase all of the good work you do with students over the summer. We also believe this new platform will give you a comprehensive understanding of all the important elements students manage as they prepare to join Ithaca College in August.
