Spots Still Open for Faculty Evaluators of ICC Portfolio Submissions in Late MayContributed by Danette Johnson on 05/05/14 A few more spots are available for faculty interested in participating in evaluations of ICC student portfolio submissions at the end of May. Three to four more evaluator slots are available for both natural science and quantitative literacy and one to two more slots are available for humanities.
Sessions begin with discussion of using the evaluation rubric, including norming activities, and evaluators then review individual student artifact submissions. This is an excellent opportunity to help the faculty and the College learn more about student learning in the ICC and the learning portfolio initiative in general.
The natural science session will be held from 9am until 3pm on May 27 and 28, with the humanities session at the same times on May 28 and 29 and the quantitative literacy session at the same times on May 29 and 30. Lunch will be provided both days and faculty evaluators will be paid a stipend of $500 for their participation. Please contact icc@ithaca.edu with questions or to express your interest in participating. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Tammy Sritecha at tsritecha@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3113. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
