Commencement Eve Concert

You and your family are invited to the Commencement Eve Concert on Saturday, May 17, at 8:30 p.m. in Glazer Arena, within the Athletics and Events Center. Admission is free.

Directed by award-winning composer and professor of music Dana Wilson, the 2014 Commencement Eve Concert will be held on Saturday, May 17, at 8:30 p.m. in the Glazer Arena, within the Athletics and Events Center. 

The program is entitled "Ritual - And How Its Music Deepens Our Lives" and will showcase outstanding student and faculty talent from the  Ithaca College School of Music. It will be a fast-paced, entertaining program in which the Ithaca College Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Marimba Ragtime Band, and soloists surround the audience to perform a splendid variety of music!

Following the concert, all are invited to close the night with refreshments and a firework display from 9:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on the Academic Quad in honor of our graduates. Please use the top-level exit and follow the lighted pathway and the senior week volunteers as they guide you to the best location for fireworks viewing.

Commencement Eve Concert - Open Dress Rehearsal 
4/16/13 | 8:30 P.M. | Glazer Arena, Athletics & Events Center

If you prefer to avoid the packed house and traffic of this popular concert, you and your family and friends are welcome to attend the dress rehearsal on the previous evening, Friday, May 16, at 8:30 p.m. in the same location. The dress rehearsal is a polished performance that is attended each year by hundreds of people, and provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the concert in a more relaxed setting.

The concerts and fireworks display are free and open to the public. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodation should contact the School of Music at (607) 274-3717.
