We all know what is said about all work and no play …Well, the annual campus carnival is an opportunity to have some FUN with friends and colleagues while enjoying awesome games and lively music – even a tattoo, or two! This year’s event will take place Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on the Campus Center Quad (Rain Location: A&E Center)

Our special musical guest this year will be the NEO Project Band.  NEO Project is the brainchild of international performer and music director Dwight Carroll, who invited six talented Ithaca, NY musicians – including Ithaca College’s own Associate Professor of Music Theory, History & Composition, John W. White – to build a powerful new musical energy. Two years in the making, NEO Project debuted on the music scene in the fall of 2012, delighting dance crowds and music lovers with its unique blend of funked up jazzy soul music, sprinkled with flavorings of rock and Afro-Caribbean world grooves. Put succinctly, NEO’s gifted band members offer an authentic, fresh twist on new pockets of soulful grooves!

Neo Project’s current member line-up is as follows:

  • Tommielee Tallman - vocals
  • Jimbo Scott - vocals
  • John White - keyboards & vocals
  • Matt Clauhs – EWI (electronic wind instrument), tenor sax & flute
  • Franklin Henry - electric bass
  • Mike McCoy - drums
  • Dwight Carroll - electric guitar & vocals

Ithaca College thanks you for your hard work and dedication over the past academic year and encourages you to take advantage of this well-deserved break from routine. As always, there will be loads of yummy carnival food and the opportunity to throw your name into the drawing for several $25 gift cards. Plus, everyone attending will receive the perfect gift for the summer season! So, mark your calendar for May 22nd – and come dressed to PARTY!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Tanisha Graves at ngraves@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3083. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
