Jack Wang, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Writing, has been awarded the 2014-15 David T.K. Wong Fellowship from the School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. Since 1998, the fellowship has offered a fiction writer working in English the time and freedom to write about a significant aspect of the Far East. The fellowship will begin in late September, last for nine months, and coincide with Wang's sabbatical. The University of East Anglia is home to the UK’s first MA in Creative Writing and the UK’s first Ph.D. in Creative and Critical Writing. Graduates of UEA's creative writing program include Kazuo Ishiguro and Ian McEwan. Writing Professor Awarded Fellowship in England Comment from

Congratulations, Jack! This is quite the honor, and we know you will do great
things with it. Think about us suffering through next winter while you are in East Anglia. Writing Professor Awarded Fellowship in England Comment from
