Lis Chabot, College Librarian, Keynotes at Regional Symposium in Erie, PennsylvaniaContributed by Karenn Reeter on 05/27/14 Lis was the keynote speaker and workshop facilitator for Gannon University's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) 2014 Regional Symposium. Lis was invited to present on "Minding the Gap: Campus Collaboration for Developing Information Fluency Across the Four Years", as an outgrowth of her role as the Association of College and Research Libraries Liaison to the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC). Faculty, librarians, and instructional support professionals from Gannon University, Mercyhurst University, Allegheny College, and Penn State Erie participated in the day-long symposium. In addition to the keynote presentation, attendees participated in active learning sessions where they considered discipline-based learning competencies, developed measurable learning outcomes, and identified strategies for campus collaboration. |
