The Department of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology has conducted ongoing research in oral proficiency of non-native English speakers. The most recent presentation included work contributed by graduate student research assistants, Anne Escobedo (Class of 2015) and Julie Balazs (Class of 2014) with faculty member, Marie Sanford.

They presented a paper at the 9th International Conference of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences held at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. The paper was entitled “Identifying Reliable Predictors of Oral Proficiency in Non-Native English Speakers.”
