As we look forward to the beginning of a new academic year, I would like to remind all faculty members of the following opening year events:

Monday, August 25
7:30 – 8:15               Faculty Breakfast
                                    Egbert Dining Hall – Campus Center

8:30 – 10:00             Faculty Meeting
                                    Emerson Suites  (refreshments available)

10:30 – 10:50           Robing and Procession Line-up
                                    The procession gathers in the locker room hallway of the
                                    Athletic & Events Center.  The procession will begin at 10:55.

11:00 – noon             Convocation
                                     Glazer Arena, Athletic & Events Center

Noon – 1:30              Community Picnic
                                    Campus Center Quad

Tuesday, August 26
10:00 – noon              First –Year Reading Initiative
                                      Glazer Arena, Athletic & Events Center

 
I encourage all faculty members to attend these important events as we welcome our new students and set the keynote for their education here at Ithaca College.
