With the new semester starting, please remember the online events calendar is available and ready for you to populate with all your events and meetings.

At ithaca.edu/events you will find featured and trending events, and can search upcoming events by type, venue or group. Once you log in with your Netpass, you can submit your own events, mark events that you plan to attend, leave reviews after an event has occurred, and follow groups and other calendar users.

While Intercom is still a great tool to inform the campus community about news and notices, the online events calendar offers users more features for finding your event and keeping it on their radar.  In order to make the calendar as effective and useful as possible, the Office of Marketing Communications asks that anyone posting to Intercom about an event first add it to the events calendar and then include the URL to the calendar listing in the Intercom post.

Additional functions of the online calendar  include:

• Reminders of events you plan to attend
• Linking events to Facebook Event pages
• Event Calendar user profiles: Follow groups, add friends, and review events you attended
• Profiles for student organizations and groups. If you’re interested in having one created, please email studentorgs@ithaca.edu.
• Sharing events through social media
