Saturday’s Finger Lakes Permaculture Tour will visit IC’s Permaculture Garden!Contributed by Carol Hansen on 08/26/14 This Saturday, September 6th, from 10 am to 4 pm the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute (FLPCI) will be hosting tours to a number of permaculture installations around the area. One stop will feature IC’s permaculture installation outside of Williams Hall (across from the IC Bookstore entrance). The IC permaculture garden – planted with fresh herbs, colorful plants, and leafy vegetables – has been designed and maintained by Karryn Olson-Ramanujan and her ENVS 104 Permaculture Principals & Practices students. Karryn is an adjunct instructor in IC’s Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences, as well as being a founding instructor at FLPCI. Please come out any time between 10 am and 4 pm on Saturday to see the beautiful, fruitful and healthful garden that she and her students have created! For more information on FLPCI and other sites on the tour, please visit www.fingerlakespermaculture.org Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Carol Hansen at chansen@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1822. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
