In an effort to achieve greater coordination and maximize efficiencies among the health-related services provided for students, the College is restructuring the operations of the Hammond Health Center and the Office of Counseling and Wellness. The unified organization will be called the Center for Counseling, Health and Wellness focusing on a shared philosophy of holistic care for Ithaca College students.

Deborah Harper, Ph.D., who has served since 2004 as Director of Counseling and Wellness, will lead the new unit as Director of Counseling, Health and Wellness.  Dr. Vivian Lorenzo, who has served as a physician at the Hammond Health Center for sixteen years and as Assistant Director since 2011, will serve as Medical Services Director, overseeing all medical aspects of the operation.

This restructuring provides an excellent opportunity to further grow the critical collaboration of these areas, and I am pleased that we have the experienced, skilled and visionary leadership in place to oversee this effort.
