Majordomo Mailing Lists - Correct Email Address FormatContributed by Karen Compton on 09/02/14 When sending a message to a Majordomo mailing list, always use the format of "listname@lists.ithaca.edu". While you may sometimes see an address like "listname@icsun.ithaca.edu", that format refers to a specific server name (icsun in this case) and will no longer work if the server name changes. Using listname@lists.ithaca.edu ensures that your list messages won't bounce due to an invalid address format. ITS Helpdesk |
