Spanish Studies Abroad, SIT (the School for International Training) and IES (the Institute for the International Education of Students) are all long-standing affiliates of Ithaca College, and each semester many IC students study abroad on programs run by these organizations.  Over the next two weeks, representatives from each of these organizations will be on campus to present an information session and to table in the Campus Center lobby. 

Spanish Studies Abroad - Tuesday, September 9

Are you interested in studying in a Spanish-speaking country?  A representative of our affiliated study abroad provider Spanish Studies Abroad (previously the Center for Cross-Cultural Study - CC-CS) will be on campus next Tuesday, September 9. If you'd like to learn more about the study abroad programs offered by Spanish Studies Abroad, you can:

  • Come to the information session: Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 12:10-1:00 p.m. in Friends 209.
  • Stop by the table: there will be a table set up in the Campus Center lobby on the same day both before and after the info session.  

Spanish Studies Abroad runs programs in three cities in Spain (Alicante, Barcelona and Sevilla); in Córdoba, Argentina; in Havana, Cuba; and in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  All of their programs have a strong focus on cultural immersion and language acquisition. 

SIT (The School for International Training) - Thursday, September 11

Are you interested in a truly unique study abroad experience? A representative of our affiliated study abroad provider SIT will be on campus next Thursday, September 11. If you'd like to learn more about the study abroad programs offered by SIT, you can:

  • Come to the information session: Thursday, Sept. 11, from 12:10-1:00 p.m. in Friends 209.
  • Stop by the table: there will be a table set up in the Campus Center lobby on the same day both before and after the info session.

SIT offers unique, field-based programs all around the world, focusing on important global issues such as social change, migration, human rights, and environmental policy.  NOTE: not all SIT programs are affiliated with Ithaca College.  You can view a list of the SIT programs that are affiliated on the Office of International Programs website.

IES (The Institute for the International Education of Students) - Thursday, September 18

IES is one of Ithaca College's longest-standing affiliated study abroad providers, and offers a large number of programs in many different countries across the globe. A representative of IES will be on campus Thursday, September 18. If you'd like to learn more about the study abroad programs offered by IES, you can:

  • Come to the information session: Thursday, Sept. 18, from 12:10-1:00 p.m. in Textor 103 (Pizza will be served!)
  • Stop by the table: there will be a table set up in the Campus Center lobby on the same day both before and after the info session.

Note: IES programs run in London are non-affiliated programs; all other IES offerings are affiliated for academic year 2014-15.
