We can help! Throughout September, the Academic Advising Center is providing workshops to address some common challenges faced by first year college students. In these workshops, you will learn strategies and skills to prepare you for academic success.

Learn what to include in your budget, how to make the most of your free time, how to plan your studies, and how to be involved on campus and still stick to your time budget. Learn how to use your syllabuses to create your time budget.

This Isn’t High School Any More: Study Strategies and Tips for College Success
Learn effective strategies to help you succeed in the college classroom – and how they may differ from those you used in high school. Learn study tips, note-taking and test preparation strategies, and how to make the best use of campus support resources. Learning styles and brain-based research will also be shared.
