LESS THAN ONE WEEK until IC After Dark presents URBAN COWBOY! Show off your rodeo skills and ride the mechanical bull... you'll impress all the cowboys and cowgirls. And the cows!

Saddle-up and get ready for the event the whole ranch is raving about: Urban Cowboy! Take the ultimate rodeo test and hop on our mechanical bull and see how long you last. Who knows, maybe you'll be cut out for the real deal! (Disclaimer: Please don't drop out of college and become a professional bull-rider.)

Think you'll only last 3 seconds on the bull? Is bull-riding not included in your selected college major? Are you afraid of bulls? NO WORRIES! There are plenty of other things to do at Urban Cowboy including but not limited to...

  • Eating FREE FOOD! (do you need anything else...?)
  • Decorating your own mini-cactus (Suggestion: dress it as a cat and name it CAT-cus)
  • Square-Dance! (or just dance-dance!)
  • Make your own feather headband / bandana!

SOUNDS LIKE A HOOTIN' AND HOLLERIN' GOOD TIME TO ME, SHERIFF!

Attendees will walk in and feel like they are at a rodeo back in the western/southern time period! Emerson Suites will feel like a “western hang out” with the wild entertainment of a mechanical bull and line dancing! String lights and hay seats will fill the room, while root beer, and flower center pieces give a homey western feeling. The poker, mechanical bull, and line dancing will give that daring and exciting western vibe that will draw the attendees to engage in our fun filled night!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Francesca Esce at fesce1@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
