Earn Credits While Doing Field Research in Namibia, Botswana, Patagonia, or British Columbia!Contributed by Carol Hansen on 10/05/14 Round River Conservation Studies is a research and education organization based in Utah. They offer field-based study-abroad programs where students work with local people to study, protect and restore wild places. Study areas include conservation biology, natural history and environmental policy; and students are immersed in the cultures of indigenous peoples. Susie Dain-Owens from Round River will be here Tuesday October 7 to describe the program in more detail, answer questions and help with the application process. ENVS students have gone on past RRCS programs and found the experience totally fantastic, and sometimes life-changing! Come find out more (and eat pizza!) next Tuesday at noon in CNS 115. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Carol Hansen at chansen@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1822. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
