Using Livescribe Pencasts to Create Narrated Written Video Lectures and Answer KeysContributed by Wade Pickren on 10/23/14 Friday, October 24, 2014, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Register here) Interested in using technology for content delivery to open classroom time for individual instruction and problem solving? Vince DeTuri uses Livescribe pencasts to provide students with written and narrated solutions to complex chemistry problems and detailed derivations of mathematical equations. Lecture notes and answer keys are recorded with a real pen and the audio syncs exactly with the writing. Pencasts are distributed to students in pdf through Sakai or email. So far the response from students in an advanced chemistry course has been overwhelmingly positive. Please visit the Events Calendar. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Laurie Wasik at wasik@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3734. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
