The Office of Civic Engagement will support up to five faculty to participate in the Global Service-Learning Institute, November 5-7 at Stella Maris Retreat Center in Skaneateles, NY. If you currently use service-learning pedagogy in an international setting, or you are considering it, this institute offers a unique opportunity to develop effective strategies and vet them through a peer review process. This event is a collaboration between Cornell University, New York Campus Compact, and Amizade. In addition to principles of course and partner development, an assessment expert will provide a module on effectively student learning assessment in global service-learning. If you are interested and available, please contact Marianne Ridley, m.ridley@cornell.edu no later than Friday, October 24.
