Leading in a Diverse World Leadership Lessons Learned Abroad Join us for this presentation by Leadership Scholars who studied abroad in 2013-14 as they share highlights of their experiences in other regions of the world. You will learn about the leadership skills used to navigate systems, stories of communication successes and failures, and important things to look out for if you are considering traveling abroad. This session is presented by Michele Lenhart, Director of Student Leadership and Involvement. When/Where: Wednesday, October 29 4-5 pm Taughannock Falls Room Leading Others Philanthropy and You: Development 101 Every leader needs to know about funding! How do you raise money to support your cause and change the world? This fast-paced session will take you through institutional and individual giving strategies with a non-profit professional who has raised millions of dollars from government, foundation, corporate, and individual resources. MaryBeth Bunge teaches “Fundraising in the Performing Arts” in the Theatre Arts Management program here at IC; she is also Development Director at Alternatives Impact, a non-profit committed to economic justice and a volunteer board member of Foodnet/Meals On Wheels and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce. Whether your path leads you to a volunteer board position or non-profit career, this seminar will show you “where the money is,” and how to get it!
