Mac McIntosh, Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer for ITS, will give the SIGUCCS 2014 Management Symposium Plenary in Salt Lake City, Utah in November. SIGUCCS is an Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services.

Mac will share his insights and advice, and provide practical approaches for the audience to develop their own plan or help others develop a plan to achieve the goals required to build their own destiny. Each of us has unique knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies, aspirations, strengths, and limitations which shape who we are and who we can become. His talk will call on his 30 years of experience leading, coaching, and mentoring staff to achieve their distinctive purpose and be all they are meant to be.

Additionally, Mac will participate in a Chief Information Officer’s panel discussion with colleagues from the University of Oregon, St. Lawrence University, and Ursinus College, about the implications of our continual expansion of services and support in an effort to keep up with expectations, or perceived expectations.
