We do it all the time, it's automatic so we hardly ever pay attention to breath's rhythms. Attention to breathing in and breathing out is a focal point which anyone can master as a meditation exercise, no special talents are needed, nor is a particular set of beliefs a requirement for entry into the sheer delight and pure enjoyment to be had from this simple method of paying mind to our constant companion in life. A small group doing this together for 35-45 minutes is very reinforcing and often produces a shared experience of "wow! that was good!" Join us as Michael Faber presents a short talk on the benefits of practicing meditation in the workplace, followed by actual practice. MEDITATION: THE DELIGHTS OF BREATHING Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Katie Sack at ksack@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-8000.
