I am delighted to announce that Kerry Spitze, M.S., has been promoted to Manager of Ithaca College’s Academic Advising Center in Rothschild Place. Kerry joined the Academic Advising Center in May 2013, after serving as both an advisor and instructor at both Coastal Carolina University and Northern Illinois University. Kerry has also worked in the Career Services Office at Syracuse University, and has extensive experience in both First Year and Orientation programs. While at Ithaca College, Kerry has served as the liaison to the Park School of Communications, facilitated and coordinated the Park Peer Mentor program (a collaborative effort with the newly-founded HSHP Peer Mentor Program), and created and continues to instruct the for-credit ICSM Peer Leader program. On a national level, Kerry currently represents Ithaca College on two committees: the NACADA Diversity Committee, and the NACADA Professional Development Committee. In addition, Kerry was recently given the honor of being named the New York – East State Liaison by the national NACADA office.  Please join me in congratulating Kerry on her new assignment, which is effective immediately.
