Chip Gagnon, Associate Professor of Politics, was an invited participant at the workshop "Sources of Populism in the Balkans" held in Marija Bistrica, Croatia. The Workshop was organized by the Centre for Southeast European Studies, University of Graz and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Zagreb on October 30-31.

Chip was the invited respondent to the workshop's keynote address, by Prof. Don Kalb of Central European University, who spoke on "Ukraine is Everywhere: On Regional Studies and the Mass Production of Populisms in Neoliberal Europe." Chip also served as a moderator and as a discussant for two panels at the workshop.
