Kathleen Mulligan (Theatre Arts) has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan for her sabbatical project Voices of Partition

In January 2015, Mulligan and alumna Sarah Hebert-Johnson ('12) will join with the acting company of Theatre Wallay in Islamabad to collect narratives of the survivors of the partition of India and Pakistan. In April 2015, Mulligan will return to Pakistan with her husband, David Studwell, to collaborate with Theatre Wallay on an original theatre piece based on those narratives. The resulting production will open in Islamabad, tour to Lahore, and then to Ithaca College in the fall of 2015. Mulligan and Studwell will travel to Islamabad under the Fulbright Specialist Program. All actors' stipends, travel and production costs will be covered under the U.S. Embassy grant.
