It is a pleasure to announce the appointment of Marc Israel as the assistant provost for finance and administrative operations effective December 15, 2014.

Israel will oversee the overall financial and administrative operations for the Provost and Division of Educational Affairs, and provide strategic oversight of the President’s Office financial operations.  His experience as assistant and associate director of Budget at Ithaca College and his commitment to the institution will be significant assets in this newly defined position.  Prior to coming to Ithaca College, Mr. Israel held positions at JP Morgan Chase in various leadership roles including staff accountant, controller, and manager & controller.  

Mr. Israel earned an MBA and a BA in Economics from Ithaca College.  He has completed the Ithaca College Supervisory Academy as well as the Administrative Management Institute at Cornell University.

Mr. Israel succeeds David Garcia, who left the institution last summer.
