International Human Rights Day

December 10th marks the date that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948. This Wednesday, Dec. 10th, we will honor this historic date by unveiling stories that bear witness to U.S. - Latin American relations and the experiences of activism and resistance. 

7-7:45pm Teatro y Fronteras. IC Teatro will will share original works they've written inspired by the Teatro Campesino movement.

7:50-8:30pm Ayotzinapa's 43 missing student activists.

Dr. Jorge García  of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and Arturo Méndez, student-activist in Mexico and recent arrival to the Ithaca community, will lead a discussion about the disappearance and killing of forty-three male students from Guerrero, México.

The event will take place in Textor 102, Ithaca College.
Free and open to the public
