Are you getting a laptop replaced as part of Technology Renewal for Spring 2015? If you are, you have a great opportunity to bring the laptop to ITS for replacement this Wednesday, January 21st!

Due to the large number of computers that need to be replaced in the spring semester, you can bring your current laptop to the ITS Helpdesk and exchange it for your Spring 2015 Technology Renewal replacement laptop. You will need to bring your current laptop and power adapter with you. Please note that the official guardian of record must bring the computer in for replacement. We will be having the second of two replacement dates at the ITS Helpdesk (104 Job Hall) on Wednesday, January 21st, 9am to 4pm.

To ensure a quick and efficient replacement process, please have any data from your old laptop that you wish to save backed up prior to arriving. Due to the high volume of replacements we are anticipating we will be unable to assist with the installation of specialized software during the fair but we can schedule a follow up visit to your office.  If you are unable to attend the fair on January 21st, the laptop will be replaced at your office on your department’s regularly scheduled installation date. Guardians are notified via email 30 and 7 days prior to the scheduled replacement date.  You can find additional details about the Technology Renewal program, including how to prepare for tech renewal by visiting this site: Technology Renewal Program

This fair provides an opportunity for you to get your new laptop sooner, and for ITS to process more replacements than we could by going to individual offices. If we have a successful turnout this year, we plan to hold the Technology Renewal Laptop Fair each fall and spring in the future. We hope to see you there!
