Shake, Rattle, and Roll at an Interactive Dance WorkshopContributed by Katie Sack on 02/03/15 Come and share the fun and the excitement of Rueda de Casino, Cuban salsa circle dancing. In Rueda the “cantante” calls out moves for the couples in the circle to do. Some of the moves are graceful while others are plain fun like "ping pong", "high 5" and "foto". Often the dancers end up exchanging partners, too. Rueda is a great way to learn how to salsa or to improve your dance technique/repertoire. Learn how to do the basics as well as some fun moves in this 1 hour workshop. It does not matter how much or little you know. Virgilio Pinto, workshop instructor, guarantees that you will leave the hour a better dancer. Rueda De Casino Virgilio Pinto is an accomplished rueda dancer, caller, performer, and choreographer. He is often sought out to call rueda de casino whenever and wherever he and salsa music coincide. Come prepared dressed to move with others to the Latin beat. Casual work attire should be fine as long as it does not restrict movement. This is something not to be missed, even those of you with “two left feet”.
