Deb Harper, Director of the Center for Counseling, Health, and Wellness, publishes an opinion piece in the Journal of College Student Psychotherapy.Contributed by Estela Santos-Pape on 01/29/15 Counseling center professionals can provide leadership in creating campus networks that benefit students’ academic success and retention. “Expanding Our Reach: Developing Supportive Campus Community Networks” was recently published in the January 2015 issue of the Journal of College Student Psychotherapy (29). Meeting the increased demand for mental health services is a topic of concern on college and university campuses across the country. Over the past decade, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) has been forming networks of campus colleagues who support the wellbeing of students through Pathways, the Mental Health Response Team, and other consultation groups connected to the Office of Counseling and Wellness.
