LGBT Film Series Continues February 10 with “Still Black: A Portrait of Black TransMen"Contributed by Luca Maurer on 02/02/15 The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen LGBT themed film series will host a showing of the documentary “Still Black: A Portrait of Black TransMen” on Tuesday, February 10. Free and open to the public, the screening will take place at 7 p.m. in Textor 101. "STILL BLACK: A Portrait of Black Transmen" is brought to life by the stories of six thoughtful, eloquent and diverse transmen. Preachers, teachers, students and activists, each man brings a colorful and complex richness as he describes his relationship to himself, as well as others in his life, and their connections to their bodies, social status and the consequences of being black, transgender and men. Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen is sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services.
