The 2015 Immersion Semester Program has begun and Ithaca College students can keep track of this year's participants thanks to GPS check-ins on the Recreation and Leadership Studies Facebook page.

Assistant professor Patrick Lewis and his group of students started a three-week backpack across Joshua Tree National Park in California on Tuesday. The trip is part of the Immersion Semester Program which offers students the opportunity to earn credit toward a minor in Outdoor Pursuits while developing leadership skills and exploring the great outdoors.

Stay posted for more photos and updates from the participants on the RLS Facebook page. For more information on the Outdoor Adventure Leadership and the Immersion Semester Program, visit its webpage here
