Associate Professor Cathy Crane’s work will be featured as part of the American Originals Now series at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

A selection of Crane’s 16 mm short films spanning the last twenty years will screen on February 21, 2015. The following day, Crane will screen Pasolini’s Last Words (2012)
followed by excerpts from The Manhattan Front, her current project. Many of The Manhattan Front's conceptual design elements were developed with Ithaca College students in a Practicum Course on the Art of Preproduction. To view images from the class, click here.

Crane teaches in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, and has won numerous awards and recognition for her professional work including a 2013 Guggenheim Fellowship in Film and Video and a 2009 New York Foundation for the Arts Artist Fellowship.
