The online submission process for faculty sponsors to submit student presentations for the 18th Annual James J. Whalen Symposium will close on March 2, 2015. 

The Symposium is a celebration of student research, scholarship, and creativity featuring oral presentations, poster presentations, and creative works by students from all academic disciplines (graduate and undergraduate.)  It will be held in the Campus Center on Thursday, April 9, 2015.

Students?  Interested in participating? 
Contact your faculty collaborator to discuss proposal submission. 

Faculty?  Online proposals submissions will be accepted for presentations, performances, and displays.

Please note that creative works include:

Live performance (dance, theatre, music, etc.)

  • solo performances
  • chamber ensembles
  • original compositions   
  • original monologue or scene performances
  • analysis and performance of a scene or monologue
  • solo dance performances
  • original dance ensemble performance

Works of visual and media art 

  • film
  • photography
  • paintings
  • sculptures
  • costume and set design
