Immediately following the February 22nd, 2pm matinee performance of "Little Women", Conductor Brian DeMaris will lead a talk-back discussion. The talkback will allow patrons to ask questions about the production and interact with director Patrick Hansen, conductor Brian DeMaris, members of the design team and singers from the show. The event will be held in Dillingham Center and is free and open to the public.

“Little Women” is based on the beloved novel by Louisa May Alcott and is composed by Mark Adamo. Following the lives of four sisters on a journey out of adolescence, “Little Women” explores the joys and challenges of family life in a Post-Civil War America. Commissioned by the Opera Studio of Houston Grand Opera (HGO), then under the guidance of General Director David GockleyLittle Women was first performed on March 13, 1998 in a smaller scale production. The success of this first production prompted Gockley to pronounce it "destined to be an American classic" and scheduled the opera for a mainstage premiere of ten performances in March 2000. 

Ticket prices for “Little Women” range from $8 to $16. Tickets can be purchased online at ithaca.ticketforce.com and through the Ithaca College box office located in Dillingham Center. The box office is open Monday through Thursday from noon-5 p.m. and Friday noon-4 p.m. Tickets may be reserved at the box office by calling (607) 274-3224. Performances will run in the Clark Theatre in Dillingham Center on Feb. 19, 20, 23, 25, 26 and 28 at 8 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 22.
