Alhassan Iddrisu Adbulai, Ghanaian Drummer and Dancer will be featured at the School of Music Annual Black History Month Celebration. Saturday February 28th, 2015 at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

 

The Concert will also feature selections from Porgy and Bess, the Choraliers from the Community Music School, Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, IC African Drumming and Dance Ensemble, IC VoiceStream, Worlds of Music Class and Cherisse Williams will perform an Aria from Dana Wilson’s opera The Wolf by the Ears. The opera is based on the relationship between Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson.
