Jack Wang, associate professor in the Department of Writing, has published a short story entitled "The Night of Broken Glass" in the current issue of The New Quarterly: Canadian Writers & Writing.

"The Night of Broken Glass" fictionalizes the life and exploits of Ho Feng-Shan, the Chinese consul general in Vienna who aided Jewish Austrians around the time of Kristallnacht. Last spring, the story was shortlisted for the 2014 Commonwealth Short Story Prize.
