Ithaca College Football To Host Bone Marrow Donor DriveContributed by Joe Gladziszewski on 03/20/15 In coordination with the National Bone Marrow Donor Program's "Be The Match" initiative, the Ithaca College football team is sponsoring its fourth annual bone marrow donor screening event on Thursday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Emerson Suites B in the Campus Center. In just a few short minutes donors can be registered on the national bone marrow donor registry. In those short minutes you might be able to help save a life. A cheek swab is taken for the test without using any needles or drawing blood. We have had three matches from the drive here at Ithaca over the last two years. For more information on the National Bone Marrow Donor Program go to www.bethematch.org. For questions or information on the bone marrow drive, contact Sean Fitzmaurice at 274-1144. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Sean Fitzmaurice at sfitzmaurice@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1144. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
