Ithaca College Opera will present "The Wolf by the Ears" on April 8, 2015 at 8:15pm in Ford Hall.

The work is composed by Ithaca College faculty member, Dana Wilson, with libretto by J. Robert Lennon and Dana Wilson. The opera is directed by David Lefkowich and conducted by Brian DeMaris.

"The Wolf by the Ears" explores Thomas Jefferson's hidden relationship with his slave mistress Sally Hemings. The beautifully crafted libretto allows the audience to connect history with the present.  Even though the opera takes place 200 years in the past, the issues of racial inequality, the responsibility of leadership, and making ethical choices are still relevant in today's society.
